1). Should he advocate for the launch of a community around the Walmart brand, which is just establishing a presence in Chile?

Would such a group of people fit the definition of community, which is:

A group of people who share a strong common interest, form relationships, and interact online

What do you think?

 

2). Next, Nicolas was interested in the ROI of communities, since communities in general are relatively new in South America.

Forrester conducted the following research and published an ROI-related white paper:

The ROI of Online Customer Service Communities

(Recall that 7 benefits of communities covered in Pillar 1 include: repeat customers, loyalty, recruiting opportunities, lowering costs, research and development feedback, improved customer service and revenue.)

 

3). Finally, Nicolas was curious about communities in the finance sector. Luckily, we do have a resident financial community expert – Jeff. Which leads me to my next question… For Jeff or others who I may not be aware of that have knowledge on such communities, what advice do you have for Nicolas?

She spoke very highly of Rich and of the course. But even more touching was the fact that she said I inspired her by being positive and encouraging about her community. 8am or not, it was a very pleasing thing to hear.

Wendy’s community, Marsh University, is large and looking to improve on conversion. Students in the intermediate class gave the following tips on conversion.

From Pillar 2 Lesson 2, we learn that converting visitors entails:

  • shorter registration processes
  • simpler email confirmations
  • more targeted member outreach
  • better landing pages
